Summer food resources

There are several free food resources available to Scotia-Glenville families during the summer months.

SICM Summer Lunch Program: Free lunch in Collins Park, Monday-Friday, June 26-Sept. 1 (except July 14); 11:15a.m. -12:30 p.m. All are welcome. Ages up to 18, with no ID required. Just show up for a free lunch, located by the recreation building and bathrooms.

Fresh Table Pop-Up Community Pantry: Fresh food the 3rd Wednesday of each month 5:30-7:30 p.m., at the First National Bank of Scotia, with alternating locations as follows:

  • June 21: 240 Saratoga Road
  • July 19: 201 Mohawk Ave.
  • Aug. 16: 240 Saratoga Rd.
  • Sept. 20: 201 Mohawk Ave.
  • Oct. 18: 240 Saratoga Road

Scotia-Glenville Food Pantry: City View Church, 132 Mohawk Ave. 518-588-8214 Can visit once a month; Tuesday 5:30-7 p.m. and Friday 9-11 a.m.

SICM Drive-Thru Food Pantry: Just drive up, open your trunk and they fill it with food. 839 Albany St., Schenectady, 9-11 a.m. on 6/29, 7/27, 8/31, 9/28, 10/26.

Community Lunch at First Reformed Church of Scotia, 224 N. Ballston Ave.: The last Saturday of the month from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.-12:30 on 6/24, 7/22, 8/26, 9/23.

Scotia United Methodist Church in Scotia, 291 Ten Broek Ave.: Breakfast is served the third Saturday of the month from 9-11 a.m.

Our Redeemer Lutheran Church at 103 South Reynolds St., Scotia: Family Lunch every Friday at beginning 6/30.
