The power of a wish for sick children

Stars for Wishes

students buying stars from other students for Make a WishThis month, Glen-Worden Student Council made great efforts in helping to fulfill wishes for local children who are very ill. The student council members took turns selling stars every morning in the school lobby. The stars represent bringing children’s wishes to life.

With the hope of making a child’s wish possible, students and staff purchased stars for a dollar a piece. After two weeks, the student council members raised more than $600. The money is being donated to Make-A-Wish® Northeast New York. Granted wishes can be life-changing for children fighting illnesses.
