WHAT’S HAPPENING IN FINE ARTS?

S-G musicians selected for Suburban Council Music Festival

15 student musicians in individual boxes and some are holding their instrumentsThe performance, at Columbia High School on Saturday, Jan. 13 at 2 p.m, features top musical talents from 16 school districts. Students applied and a selection committee chose the following students for chorus, orchestra, and band. The concert is free with donations accepted at the door.

Student musical guests the Choralaires performed holidS-G musicians selected for Suburban Council Music Festivalay music at the December 11 board meeting under the direction of Jessica Crisci. Members were excited to get a preview of songs from their upcoming concert on Monday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. in the High School Auditorium.

The Tri-M Music Honor Society is a program of the National Association for Music Education for high school students. The organization’s purpose is to inspire music participation, create enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulate a desire to provide service, and promote leadership. Tri-M students advocate for music programs in our schools and in our community.
