Free school meals for all students through June 2028

Dear S-G Families,

I am delighted to share some exciting news with you regarding school meals. The Scotia-Glenville Central School District qualified to provide free breakfast and lunch on school days for all students through June 30, 2028. This benefit is made possible through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) of the National School Lunch Program.

Previously, only four of our schools were eligible for the free meals program beyond this year. However, after the district recently reapplied, all schools now qualify. This is a significant accomplishment that prioritizes the health and well-being of our students.

As we continue to navigate through these difficult times, we understand that many families are experiencing financial hardships. This program aims to help alleviate some of those concerns and ensure that all students have access to nourishment that will help them thrive. I encourage you to spread the word and take advantage of this opportunity.

Sincerely,
Susan M. Swartz
Superintendent of Schools
