Congratulations to varsity basketball players Jess Bodden and Max Peters for being selected as the top performing Tartan high school athletes for the month of December.
Jess Bodden

Jess Bodden, a senior on the varsity girls basketball team, had a strong start to the 2025–26 season, highlighted by a 24-point performance against Amsterdam and an All-Star selection at the Battle of Route 50 Tournament.
She currently leads her team in scoring, free-throw percentage, three-point percentage, and steals, and also leads the Foothills Conference in three-point field goals made. This season, Jess has taken on the role of primary shooter and continues to rise to the challenge.
Though she prefers to stay out of the spotlight, her impact on the court speaks for itself. She is also a dedicated student and a positive role model both in the classroom and on the court.
Max Peters

Max Peters is a senior on the varsity boys basketball team and an outstanding leader.
Despite suffering an injury in the fall, Max never missed a practice, consistently encouraged his teammates during both practices and games, and dedicated himself to learning the team’s offensive and defensive systems. When he was cleared to return to play, he quickly worked his way back to being a regular and reliable contributor.
In addition to his success on the court, Max is also a high-performing student who represents the Tartan community with pride in the classroom.
