The Scotia-Glenville Central School District Board of Education is delighted to announce the selection of Laura McLear as the Tartan Employee of the Month for October. Mrs. McLear has been a valuable member of the District since September 2011.
Recognition ceremony
Mrs. McLear, a dedicated teacher at Sacandaga Elementary School and one of the district’s Learning Leaps instructors, will be honored at the Board of Education meeting taking place tonight at 7 p.m., Monday, November 10.
The Tartan Employee of the Month award celebrates faculty and staff members who consistently exceed expectations in their roles, embodying the spirit of the Scotia-Glenville community through their hard work, creativity, and steadfast commitment to student success.
Mrs. McLear is acknowledged for her outstanding dedication to nurturing a love of reading and learning among her students. As a third-grade teacher at Sacandaga Elementary, she is recognized for cultivating a warm, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment where every student feels valued and empowered to achieve their full potential. Her commitment continues throughout the summer months, helping students retain and enhance their literacy skills year-round. She truly embodies the Tartan spirit.
