“Our veterans embody the courage and dedication that inspire us all. Their sacrifices and commitment to our nation are the very foundation of our freedom. It is an honor for our students to learn from their legacy and express gratitude through this heartfelt tribute.” – Superintendent Swartz.
The Glendaal community, encompassing grades K-5, came together to create their annual Veterans Wall of Honor. During this special occasion, students and staff dedicated stars to honor esteemed veterans from their families and the wider community.
- Each star celebrated individuals who served, the branches they represented, and what makes their veteran unique.
- Students proudly showcase these stars and take pleasure in learning about other veterans within their community.
The event was not only a touching tribute but also an educational experience for the young students. This holistic approach ensured that students gained a deeper appreciation for the veterans contributions and the values they uphold.
Principal Eagan emphasized the importance of involving children in such meaningful traditions. “By engaging our students in activities like the Veterans Wall of Honor, we are planting seeds of respect and gratitude that will grow throughout their lives,” he said.
This is more than just an annual school event; it’s a community celebration of shared values and history. For more photos visit our Facebook page on Veterans Day.
