ATTENTION ALL 10TH GRADERS – All Students needing transportation home after the Global History & Geography Regents exam on Monday, June 3rd needs to sign up in the main office as soon as possible. Again, any 10th grade student who will be sitting for the Global Regents on Monday, June 3rd and needs a bus home after the exam will need to sign up before May 29th in the main office.
Zack Wilson scored in the final minute of overtime to send the Tartans into the semifinals of the class C sectional tournament. The boys’ lacrosse team beat Averill Park on Saturday 12-11 in overtime to keep their season alive. Both Paul Burns and Wilson scored 3 goals and had 2 assists. Brett Unser had 2 goals and 3 assists in the game, but it was his goal in the final minutes of the game that kept the Tartans alive and sent the game into overtime. Incenzio Davis, James Almond, Aidan Nichter, Nick Nardini each also scored a goal for Scotia. In the cage Soren Siler stopped 13 shots. The Tartans will next travel to LaSalle Institute for the Class C sectional semifinal game against the #1 seed Cadets on Tuesday, May 21st at 7:00 PM.
The Scotia-Glenville Ultimate Frisbee Tournament will be after school May 29th, admission will be 5 dollars per person. Sign-ups will be this week!
The annual budget vote and BOE election will be held in the high school’s gymnasium tomorrow from 7 am to 9 pm. Please be aware that there will be several parking spots reserved for voters in the student parking lot on that day. Students should plan accordingly.
ATTENTION SENIORS! Senior GRADUATION SPEECH Auditions will be held on TUESDAY, May 28th at 2:45 pm in the high school auditorium. Seniors interested in auditioning for Graduation speeches must register and pick up an information sheet from the LMC or see Ms. Vachris, the Academic Head for English and Social Studies.
Sign up for a free physical at the Nurse’s Office now! Physicals are offered on Thursday, May 30th after school. Take advantage of this opportunity for a free physical for next year’s sports and working papers.
There will be an informational meeting at 3:00 on Thursday, June 6th for anyone that is interested in playing field hockey this fall in the B9 Cafeteria. All levels of experience are welcome to attend.
Good luck to the varsity girls’ lacrosse team as they compete against Averill Park and good luck to the JV and varsity softball team as they compete against Johnstown!!!
