The Scotia-Glenville boys’ Soccer team is currently first in the Foothills Council South.  They play Amsterdam Friday night at 7 PM under the lights on the main field.  Come out and make it a special night for the seniors.  Gwen Currie sings the National Anthem at 6:30 PM.  It’s all free!

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls’ Tennis team as they remained undefeated with their 7 to 0 win over Greenwich.  Sophia Schaub, Natalie Bean, Cassie Rumfelt, Charlotte Tvelia, and Cassie Cenzano all won their singles matches.  The #1 doubles team of Julia Carroll/Jordan Ladouceur and the #2 doubles team of Sara King / Quyhn Duong easily won their matches.  Great job to all members of the girls’ Tennis team!

There will be an open gym Thursday at 6:00pm for any boy in grades 9-12 interested in Basketball this winter.

Scotia-Glenville defeated Gloversville 3 goals to 1 on September 19th.  Nick Neilson scored two goals and Jared O’Connor scored one.  O’Connor assisted Neilson on one goal and Aidan Demsey assisted Neilson on the other.  Jacob Rousseau assisted O’Connor on his goal. Great Job Boys!!!

Yesterday the Varsity Golf team defeated Amsterdam 162 to 167 and Johnstown 162 to 169. Congratulations to Justin O’Neil, Tyler Cannoe, Addison Schaub, Tom Omicinski, Grace Kochan, Kelly Mayette, Cody Rogers and Nick Nardini.

Please join us for our first Spanish Club meeting next Wednesday, September 26 at 2:45 in room B-23. All are welcome to participate in fun, exciting and cultural activities. We will also be discussing the various officer positions available this year. See you Wednesday!!

PSAT sign up will take place in the Main Lobby before school beginning next week – Tuesday, September 25 and continue through Wednesday, October 3.  Cost is $26 cash or check payable to S-G HS.

Attention French club members!  We are having a very important club meeting today in room B-25.  We will be voting for club officers.  Please come and make your voice heard!

BASIC club, (Brothers and Sisters in Christ) will be meeting Thursday, September 20 at 2:30 pm in B-07. This club is open to all students and students may join at any time during the year. During our time on Thursdays, students study the Bible, share prayer requests and support one another. During our first meeting, we will be planning for the upcoming See You at the Pole event which takes place on September 26.  If you have questions about the Bible or are just looking for like-hearted friends come join us at BASIC on Thursday afternoons. Any questions see Ava Zuend or Alana Bishop.

  • The Girls Cross Country team beat Johnstown 19 to 41.  Delaney Krogh won the race followed by a 3-7 finish of Maddie Durant, Sophia Velasco, Niki Dugan, Courtney DiCarlo, and Mackenzie Schraa.
  • The Boys Cross Country team beat Johnstown 20 to 43.  The boys took 9 of the top 11 places.  They included Noah Greski, Gabe Winters-Bona, Ryan Bruce, Alex Tebano, Mike Pino, Tyler Greene, Josh Jeffes, Patrick Allen, and Tyler Hanhurst.  Both girls and boys remain undefeated in league races.
  • Congratulations to the Varsity Field Hockey team for defeating Queensbury 2-0. Goals were scored by Juliann Vadney and Bridget Malone. Sage Plemenik and Olivia Geniti each had an assist. Sophie LeGere had 5 saves and the shutout. One team one dream.
  • Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Soccer team for their 3-0 win over Gloversville yesterday.  Brooklyn Drago, Lucy Crounse and Annika Nielsen all scored goals while Gwen Currie and Camryn Verdi got the shut out in goal. Come watch the girls play home Thursday!
  • Yesterday the varsity Golf team defeated Schuylerville 165 to 169. Congratulations to Justin O’Neil, Tyler Cannoe, Addison Schuab, Tom Omicinski, Grace Kochan, Kelly Mayette, Cody Rogers and Nick Nardini.

Hope to see everyone there. If you have any questions you can go to the business office which is located directly across from A30 and talk to Mr. Parks or Mrs. Carr for more information.
  • Anyone interested in joining Journalism Club please sign up at the Library’s front desk.
  • Today’s Pride Club meeting is in A31 at 2:45.

  • Scotia-Glenville defeated Schenectady 2 goals to 0 on September 17th.  Micah Hughes opened the score with a volley from distance and Jared O’Connor scored the second on an assist from Jake Rousseau.   While the score was still 1 nil, Jake McKenzie made an important goal line clearance to keep Schenectady scoreless.  Dominic Jack made six saves.
  • Congratulations to the varsity girls’ tennis team as they remained undefeated with their 6 to 1 win over South Glens Falls.  Sophia Schaub, Natalie Bean, Cassie Rumfelt, Charlotte Tvelia, and Cassie Cenzano all won their singles matches in straight sets. The #2 doubles team of Sara King /Quyhn Duong easily won their match 6-1, 6-1.   Great job to all members of the girls Tennis team!
  • The GIVE paper recycling program will start tomorrow morning. GIVE students who want to take part in paper recycling should report to the C-Wing lobby before homeroom on Wednesday.
  • Art Club will be starting today in A-5 Art room 2:35- 3:00 All are welcome!!

  • Congratulations to the girls’ varsity soccer team for their 13-1 win over Glens Falls Saturday. Rylee O’Connor had three goals and four assists. Megan Steele added one goal and three assists. Morgan Nichter had two goals. Morgan Vanderstad, Gwen Currie, Brooklyn Drago, Annika Nielsen, Annamarie Piccirrillo, Sage Luke and Lucy Crounse all added a goal.
  • On Friday SG defeated Hudson Falls 4 to 3.  Jared O’Connor scored three goals and David Currie scored the fourth.  Julian Aldi assisted O’Connor on one of his goals.
  • On Friday the varsity golf team defeated Amsterdam 170 to 185. Congratulations to Justin O’Neil, Tyler Cannoe, Addison Schaub, Tom Omicinski, Grace Kochan, Kelly Mayette, Cody Rogers and Nick Nardini.
  • Congratulations – on our first confirmed college acceptance letter!! Emily McCarthy has been accepted at The College of Saint Rose. Seniors, please bring your acceptance letters to Guidance.  Thank you.
