Two S-G juniors in the Capital Region BOCES Welding and Metal Fabrication program transformed raw steel into roses that will withstand the test of time.

Erin Horton and Ethan Holstein created the roses from scratch as part of their latest project. Erin said, “It is fun. You get to use your welding skills while you craft something, and you get to be creative.”

The project tests the students on a multitude of levels. Their teacher Connor Fancher said, “It challenges them to think outside the box and teaches them fine metalworking skills they might not otherwise develop.”
