Congratulations to middle school softball player Julia Penn and baseball player Luke Battaglia for being honored as the top-performing Tartan athletes for April!

Julia Penn

Julia Penn, a seventh-grade captain of the modified softball team, is not only an exemplary athlete but also a high honors student.

Assistant coach Warnock praises her, stating, “Julia came out firing this month for the modified softball team! Pitching in two games, she recorded 22 strikeouts and led the team to its first victory of the season.” Way to go, Julia!

Luke Battaglia

Luke Battaglia is an eighth-grade starter on the modified baseball team, serving as the leadoff hitter and starting second baseman. He excels in fielding and defense, effectively communicating with his teammates.

Beyond his efforts on the field, Luke also shines academically, securing a spot on the high honor roll. Nice work, Luke!
