MLK Creative Expression Contest

Scotia-Glenville CSD Vision of Unity

Martin Luther King Jr. was a peaceful activist with a purpose and a pulpit. He worked to his death confronting fears with love. His words alone have inspired change throughout the ages. His actions during the civil rights movement were pivotal in the enactment of equality laws. Dr. King’s stance and voice against social, racial, and economic injustice brought forth educational opportunity and protections against discrimination in the workplace, for housing, and voting practices.

How has MLK Jr. inspired you?

A MLK Creative Expression Contest has opened up for SG high school students. The concept is to express through art or literature what Dr. King means to you.

Entries must be submitted to the main office by 3 p.m. on Friday, February 16. Winners will be chosen by a panel of judges and announced on Thursday, Feb. 29.
