Before- and After-School Programs at Scotia-Glenville

Serving Glendaal, Lincoln, and Sacandaga Elementary Schools

The Capital District YMCA offers before- and after-school care on-site in the school cafeterias Monday through Friday.

Program Hours: • Before-School: 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM
• After-School: Dismissal – 6:00 PM

Activities are age-appropriate and structured to meet developmental needs, including snacks, outdoor play, games, arts and crafts, homework support, STEM, Reading, and gym time.

Staff-to-child ratio is 10:1. Programs are registered with the NYS Department of Social Services and licensed with the Office of Child and Family Services.

Weather & Delay Guidelines

Standard morning programs open at 7:00 AM. When school schedules change due to weather or emergencies, the following rules apply:

TWO-HOUR DELAY Programs open 1 hour later than normal.

AFTER-SCHOOL CANCELLED KidCare remains OPEN as normal.

EARLY RELEASE KidCare is CLOSED.

SCHOOL CLOSED KidCare is CLOSED.
