BOE Tartan Employee of the Month - September!

The Board of Education is proud to announce our September 2026 Tartan Employee of the Month: 

Lincoln Elementary fourth-grade teacher and longtime coach, Jim Krogh!

Jim’s Tartan story started long before he stepped in front of a classroom—it began as a student. A proud 1987 Scotia-Glenville High School graduate and former dual-sport athlete in football and track, Jim eventually returned to the district to give back to the community that shaped him.

Now in his 29th year teaching fourth grade at Lincoln Elementary, Jim has guided generations of Scotia-Glenville children. But his influence doesn't stop at the classroom door. For 27 seasons as head cross-country coach and over 25 years as varsity track and field coach, "Coach Krogh" has spent decades instilling perseverance, discipline, and confidence in thousands of student-athletes. His extraordinary dedication to Tartan athletics earned him an induction into the Scotia-Glenville Athletic Hall of Fame in 2024.

What makes Jim’s legacy truly special is that he has lived the Scotia-Glenville experience from every angle: student, athlete, teacher, and mentor. He has been in our students' shoes, worn the Tartan uniform, and now spends his days helping the next generation find their own path to success.

Whether as a fourth-grade teacher, a running coach, or both, Jim Krogh has spent nearly three decades in our students' corners. Congratulations, Coach Krogh, and thank you for making Scotia-Glenville a better place for us all!
