Scotia-Glenville uses the ParentSquare app which pulls contact information from the PowerSchool student data system. Telephone calls, emails and texts are sent to every home in the school district during an emergency, school closing or delay because of the weather.

Here are school closings from the Albany Times Union newspaper

If the schools must be closed because of weather conditions, facility failures or other emergency situations, announcements will be also made on these local television and radio stations:

  • WTEN/WXXA, channel 10/23

Please do not call the school or district offices on inclement weather days. The telephone lines are needed for emergency communications. 

If school is cancelled, all uses of the building are also cancelled on that day and evening, unless otherwise noted or announced.
