Mandatory walkthrough scheduled for October 30; proposals due by November 25
Scotia-Glenville Central School District is requesting proposals for the purchase and removal of the Beukendaal School Building (the “Structure”) from the Property located at 500 Sacandaga Road, Scotia. It is the intent of this Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) to have the successful respondent enter into a purchase and sale contract with the District for the sale of the Structure by the District to the respondent pursuant to the terms and conditions outlined in the RFP, here.
The District is seeking respondents with demonstrated experience or access to professional competence and experience in removing structures or improvements from one property to be relocated to а separate property. The respondent should have some familiarity with laws and practices applicable to municipal real estate matters, including relevant local land use and zoning controls for removal of structures from real property.
Respondents MUST attend a mandatory building walk through of the 6,830 square foot building built circa 1915 to be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 10 a.m. This walk through will be led by the District’s architect, and be an opportunity for firsthand observation of the property’s currently existing conditions by prospective respondents. Proposals are due by 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
