G-W Speech-Language Pathologist and Special Education Teacher share expertise on supporting students

This week, G-W Speech-Language Pathologist Alyssa Malone and Special Education Teacher Taylor Wood had the honor of speaking to aspiring educators in Kelly Fagan’s Introduction to Communication Disorders course at the University at Albany.

Their presentation featured a Q&A session, during which they covered topics such as:

• Supporting students with complex communication needs
• The significance of interdisciplinary collaboration
• The role of teamwork and advocacy in enhancing student success

Mrs. Malone and Ms. Wood currently collaborate in Glen-Worden’s innovative 6:1:3 program, where they actively implement these practices every day.
