7. Resolution: Accept and Appropriate Gift and Donation from Library of Congress’ Surplus Books Program

Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the Resolution regarding accepting and appropriating the Gift and Donation from the Library of Congress’ Surplus Books Program, donating various books to Scotia-Glenville School District, as submitted.

8. Resolution: Accept attached Donation List for various High School Award Scholarships

Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the attached donation list to be applied to various High School scholarship awards, as submitted.

9. Resolution: Accept and Appropriate Gift and Donation from Sacandaga Elementary School PTA

Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the Resolution regarding accepting and appropriating the Gift and Donation from Sacandaga Elementary School PTA to be used for Arts in Education programs, increasing the BOCES Arts in Education Account (A211049401) in the amount of $1,296.46, as submitted.

10. Resolution: Approve IHO Appointment

Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the appointment of Impartial Hearing Officer Michael Lazan in a special education impartial hearing pursuant to the Board’s compensation policy and pursuant to the Regulations of the Commissioner of the New York State Education Department section 200.5(j)(3)(ii).

2)  Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the probationary appointment of Kathryn Dimichino as First Grade Teacher (Lincoln Elementary), effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2025, with the 2022-2023 salary to be at the annual rate of $66,569.00 (Step 14 +M + 2 Credits). Ms. Dimichino holds professional certification in Childhood Education Grades 1-6.

3) Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the corrected 2022-2023 salary list rates and stipends for the following employees, as submitted:

4)  Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the appointment of Dana Cacchione as School Psychologist (Middle School), effective May 23, 2022 through June 30, 2022 providing up to five (5) Initial Evaluation Conduct for Pupil Personnel Services at the rate of $1,000.00 per evaluation.

5)  Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education increase the number of reevaluations for Dana Cacchione from 15 to 20, at the current rate of $500.00 per evaluation.

6)  Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the change in location assignment of Greta Brown from Teacher Aide at Middle School to Teacher Aide at Senior High School, effective May 17, 2022, with no change in hours or hourly rate for 2021-2022.
