NON-RESIDENT TUITION RATES – 2025-26

Superintendent’s Recommendation: Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the Non-Resident Student Tuition Rates, as established by SED, for the 2025-2026 school year, as submitted, as follows:

Regular Education

  • Grades K-6  $11,537  (down 3% from previous year)
  • Grades 7-12  $10,910  (down 8% from previous year)

Charges for students with disabilities who are eligible for public excess cost aid

  • Grades K-6  $44,773  (down 4% from previous year)
  • Grades 7-12  $ 44,470  (down 5% from previous year)

The above rates were established by SEO based on projections for annual curriculum related expenditures and enrollment provided with our ST-3 report filed last September. The lower rates are mainly attributable to an increase in the amount projected for BOCES services.

BOCES services are excluded from the NRT calculation as we receive aid on those expenses. Please note that the State weighs each student at 1.41 FTE when calculating Special Education tuition. The NRT calculation report is available upon request.
Please bring to the BOE for approval so that we may begin the process of billing outside Districts for these costs.
