SchoolTool is Scotia-Glenville’s new web-based student information system (SIS). The program is specially designed for New York State school districts to manage and organize student data. For parents and students, it provides a portal to securely view important academic information – a digital hub where you can find all the essential details about S-G school life in one place!

What You’ll Find in SchoolTool
SchoolTool is your one-stop shop for accessing important student information, including:
- Student Profile: Access and request updates to your child’s personal information and emergency contacts.
- Attendance: Monitor daily attendance records and see any absences or tardies.
- Communication: Easily communicate with teachers.
- Schedules (Gr 6-12): View your child’s class schedule, teachers, and room numbers.
- Grades and Assignments (Gr 6-12): See your child’s up-to-date grades, assignments, and due dates.
- Report cards: Download and print your child’s report card at the end of any term.
How to Get Started
For Parents and Guardians
All eligible parents and guardians of enrolled students will receive a welcome email from SchoolTool with a registration link and a temporary password. The email will be delivered to the email address on file with your child/children’s school. You’ll be prompted to change your password after your first login.

For Students
All students will be able to log in using their Scotia-Glenville issued Google sign-in through Classlink. No password is required.
Need to Update Your Information?
Upon logging into SchoolTool and viewing your profile information, you may find you need to make an update to your email address, phone number, or address. If this occurs, please contact your child’s school directly. The main phone number is (518) 347-3600 with extensions and main office email contacts below:

What if I forget my password?
Parents and guardians only – You can use the “Forgot Password” feature on the login page. You can also email us at schooltool@sgcsd.net.
Students – Your account is linked to your SG Google account and will need to select that account to log in.
How often is information updated?
Demographic, attendance, and discipline information is updated in real time. Teachers maintain updates for class or course-specific assignment information.
