Pinpoint Family Update
Dear Scotia-Glenville Families,
As we are at the midpoint of our second week of school, I wanted to reach out to you with communication on the Pinpoint Health Screener:
Pinpoint Communication Preference: As of Thursday morning (9/24), you will notice the next time you access your Pinpoint Health Screener, the system will once again ask for your preferred communication method. You may continue to use your current method, email or text, if you wish but we wanted to open up this option again and will do so periodically.
Some families found the Pinpoint Health Screener did not store their cell phone number the first time it was entered and we wanted to provide you with that flexibility.
Screening Response Times: Our staff have been closely reviewing students’ screening data from Pinpoint as they come to school in the morning. In order to ensure your screener is refreshed in our system in the morning, please submit your screening responses at least 15 minutes prior to your child’s arrival to school.
Screening Content: The language in our health screener is driven by guidance from the CDC and the NYS Department of Health. Because recent guidance has been so fluid, you may see this language edited in the future. I just wanted to make you aware of this in the event we are required to make updates.
If you have a change in email, cell phone, mailing address, or any other contact information, please contact your child’s school to report these changes (see below).

Please continue to report absences due to illness or other circumstances to your child’s school as the health screener doesn’t take the place of this communication.
