SPAC’s Classical Kids program treating grades 4 and 5 on May 9

Saratoga Performing Arts Center is offering its free “Classical Kids” program, sponsored by Union College, to all 4th and 5th grade students at Scotia-Glenville on May 9th in the HS auditorium at 9:30.

Approximately 10,000 students all over the Capital Region are reached by this program each year.

The program brings professional dancers or musicians into schools for a one-hour presentation focused on a specific orchestra or ballet event that will be presented at SPAC during the summer season.

This year’s Classical Kids presentation will be held at the Scotia-Glenville High School on Thursday, May 9th at 9:30am.  Following the presentation, all 4th and 5th grade students will be given a permission slip/ticket order form to sign up for their free amphitheater ticket to see Disney Pixar’s Up in Concert with The Philadelphia Orchestra at SPAC on Saturday, August 10th at 8pm.

In the Fall, those 4th and 5th grade students that attended the free summer concert at SPAC will receive a free Classical Kids Lawn Pass granting the student, plus an accompanying adult, free lawn admission to all ballet and orchestra performances at SPAC until they graduate from High School!

If family members are interested in accompanying their child to the concert on August 10th, they are given the option to buy additional discounted tickets by filling out the ticket order portion on their students’ permission form.  Information about ticket distribution and bus departure/arrival times will be included on the permission forms.
