Positive COVID-19 cases reported at the high school, Lincoln and Glen-Worden

There were four positive COVID-19 cases reported today – two high school students, one Lincoln student and a Glen-Worden staff member. The Schenectady County Public Health Service (SCPHS) has begun working on contact tracing in each case.

Everyone at the school is following health guidelines by wearing face masks and keeping socially distant, including the individual who tested positive. All staff members and students complete a series of health questions every morning from the Pinpoint Health Screening App before coming to school.

Please note that The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information about individuals suspected of, or having, COVID – 19. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

Since the start of the school year, the district has been thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting all buildings on campus, in accordance with guidance from the New York State Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
