Beginning Monday, October 17, the front doors, as well as all other doors, at the district’s four elementary schools will be locked as soon as students arrive. The doors will remain locked throughout the school day.
Parents and/or guardians and others visiting a school will need to be buzzed in. At each main door is a buzzer and camera. Individuals wishing to enter the school will push the buzzer and be asked for their name. Once the Main Office determines the individual has a legitimate need to be in the school, he or she will be buzzed in through the main door. The individual may be asked to show identification and will sign in with the door monitor as is currently the district’s practice.
The middle and high school will continue to receive visitors following their current procedures.
