More than 100 students gather for Lincoln Literacy Night

Lincoln’s Literacy Night was quite a success last Friday, with more than 100 students attending the event.

It was the culmination of the One School, One Book program.  Grades 3-5 read The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo and Grades K-2 read The Mouse and the Motorcycle by Beverly Cleary.

The mouse-themed literacy night included storytelling by Kent Busman, a book swap, mouse crafts and games, and a DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) time.
