Lincoln students and staff show their artistic abilities through pumpkins

Row and rows of decorated pumpkins atop book cases greet anybody walking into Lincoln’s Library Media Center. All of those pumpkin faces are looking at you.

The library at Lincoln ran the Book Character Pumpkin contest again. Each pumpkin was decorated to reflect a favorite book. A total of 78 students and staff entered the contest to create the perfect decorated pumpkin.

The three winners – Owen Smith, a grade 1 student in Maureen Armstrong‘s class; Matthew Williams, a grade 5 student in Jeff Denney‘s class; and grades 4-5 teaching assistant Karen DeAguiar – each receive a $10 gift certificate they can use during the school’s Library Book Fair, March 16-20.
