Morgan Wanmer, a friend of Morgan Bowers, and Morgan’s mother, Christina, have begun a t-shirt fundraiser to keep Morgan’s memory alive. All money raised will be used toward a scholarship and/or memorial at Scotia-Glenville High School in Morgan’s name. This is also a place where people can donate money to the scholarship and memorial.

The sales will be open until Sunday, August 14.

St. Joseph’s Church at 231 Second Street in Scotia will hold a memorial program for Morgan at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, at the church.

The event will be a time for those who knew Morgan to gather and remember her.

Morgan’s family has arranged for the services:

Calling hours will be on Friday, August 5, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bekkering-Ellis Funeral Home, 1 Mohawk Avenue, Scotia, NY.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 231 Second Street, Scotia, NY.

The Scotia-Glenville school community mourns the passing of one of our students, Morgan Bowers, in an accident Tuesday afternoon. Morgan was to begin her senior year in September.

Counselors will be available at the high school beginning at 9:00 a.m. this morning – Wednesday, August 3 – for any students or staff members who wish to stop in.

Please keep Morgan and her family in your thoughts during this sad time.
