I was looking at the calendar for 2017-18. There appears to be a miscalculation in the number of instructional days.

COMMENT: I was looking at the calendar for 2017-18. There appears to be a miscalculation in the number of instructional days. June 22 is counted as a pupil day even though the last day of school is June 21 and the legend reads “Staff Only.” Is this correct? Otherwise that makes the number of pupil days 181, not 182.

RESPONSE: That final day for staff counts as a Regents rating day, so it is considered a day of school attendance  for students, much as the Superintendent Conference Days and Regents testing days count as student attendance days – in the eyes of the state.
