HS students bring joy to residents at the Baptist Health Center

Students line up against a wall at Baptist Heath Center as they met with residents there for the holiday partyDanielle Sawyer and Jennifer Russell, job developers at the high school, were invited to bring high school students to volunteer at the Holiday Party and Open House for Baptist Health Center.

Sawyer and Russell, along with Joyce Semerad and 12 students participated in the event on Saturday, December 9th.

Students escorted residents to the main dining room to enjoy music and singing by various musical groups from the Scotia-Glenville School District.

Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph visited areas throughout the facility and charmed staff, residents and visitors with their dance moves.

The students who participated are completing Work Based Learning hours as part of the New York State requirements for CDOS (Career Development and Occupational Studies) and SACC (Skills and Achievement Commencement Credential) graduation certifications.
