Grade 8 students get a fond send off during “reverse parade” at the Middle School

The second part of the grade 8 graduation/moving up ceremony was held today through a “reverse parade,” in which families returned to the middle school to the cheers of staff standing on the front sidewalk.

About 170 families drove through the loop in front of the building during the parade, said Principal Robert Cosmer.

The event was also an opportunity to honor retiring staff from the building – Debra Collins, Library Media Specialist; Kimberlee Edwards, Guidance Counselor; James Hartlage,  Technology Teacher; Leslie Kenny-Terry, English Teacher;  and Sharon Sykes, Grade 6 Teacher.
