Students and families at Glendaal raised a whopping $10,000 for the American Heart Association through the Kids Heart Challenge.

Physical Education Teacher Sean Schreiner, who organized the challenge, said students and families raised $9,870.13 for the American Heart Association. The Kids Heart Challenge was done during physical education classes over two weeks. Students learned about how to keep a heathy heart by participating in different activities that get the heart pumping. The final activity was a Ninja Warrior challenge where students raced against time to complete an obstacle course. They also learned to eat better, by eating fruits and vegetables, exercising and drinking plenty of water.

Students raised the money by asking friends, neighbors and others in the community to support their activities.
