Glendaal staff “parade” in their cars to students’ houses

What a nice way to say “We Miss You!”

Today, March 27, 24 staff members – teachers, teaching assistants, teacher aides and office staff – from Glendaal “paraded” around town and greeted more than 100 students at their homes.

The parade of cars began at the school and drove up and down many roads. Kevin Dunbar, the Glenville police officer who also serves as the DARE officer at Glendaal, followed at the end of the parade.

Grade 3 teacher Gina Brown said the staff members “stayed in our cars and waved at our students.”  To keep proper distancing, families were asked to keep a distance. “We all are missing our students so much and hope this will be one way for our kids to see us and for us to see them,” she added.

Here’s a video of the parade from the students’ viewpoint.
