Fourth annual Reading for the Mission brings students with pajamas, blankets and good books

Grade 6 students brought their pajamas, blankets and some good books to the fourth annual Reading for the Mission night last Friday, March 8, at the Middle School.

During the two-hour program in the gym, 41 grade 6 students got into every position possible as they continued reading.

Many toiletries and $135 was raised for the City Mission in Schenectady.

At the end of the night, students enjoyed Make your Own Sundaes, donated from Stewart’s. As well, gift cards to Jumpin’ Jacks, Scotia Cinema, Target and The Open Door Bookstore were raffled off.

Teachers Kim Morgan and Sarah Hunt ran the evening with chaperone assistance from Kristyn Alheim, Maureen Blazejeski and Rebecca Ayers.

Here are several photos on Facebook.
