5.   Approve the Cell Phone Allowance by Job Title in Accordance with Board of Education Policy #8331

Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education approve the cell phone allowance by title in accordance with Board of Education Policy #8331, as submitted.

6.   Review and Adopt the Resolution Regarding Retention and Disposition Schedule for New York Local Government Records in Accordance with Article 57-A of the Arts and Cultural Affairs Law

Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education adopt the Resolution, dated September 14, 2020, regarding the retention and disposition schedule for New York local government records in accordance with Article 57-A of the Arts and Cultural Affairs Law, as submitted.

7.   Review and Adopt the Resolution to Authorize the Use of Alcohol-Based Hand Sanitizer Without a Note from a Student’s Doctor

Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education adopt the Resolution to authorize the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer without a note from a student’s doctor due to the COVID-19 public health emergency as it affects students, as submitted.

8.  Adopt Revised 2020-2021 School Breakfast and Lunch Meal Price List

Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education approve the revised 2020-2021 Food Service Price List, effective September 1, 2020, as submitted.

9.    Resolution: Continuation of the Existing Ice Hockey Merger

Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the Resolution, dated September 14, 2020, authorizing the continuation of the Scotia-Glenville Central School District merger agreement for the 2020-2021 school year with the Mohonasen, Guilderland, Schalmont, and Voorheesville School Districts for an interscholastic ice hockey team for the mutual benefit of all five districts, as submitted.

10. Approve the Renewal of the Existing Girls’ Swim Team Merger

Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education approve the renewal of the Existing Girls’ Swim Team Merger Agreement for the 2020-2021 school year between Scotia-Glenville Central School District and the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District for an interscholastic girls’ swim team, as submitted.

    11. Approve the Resolution Increasing Debt Services Reserve Fund

    Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education approve the resolution authorizing the decrease in the Capital Fund balance (HF5510.210 by $58,000 and increase the Debt Service Reserve Fund (A884) by $58,000, as submitted.

    12. Communications

    a.    Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation of Carol Clark, Monitor (High School), effective c.o.b. August 31, 2020, in order for her to take a full-time position as a Hall Monitor at the High School.

    b.    Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation of Christina Jones, Teacher Aide (Glen-Worden Elementary School), effective c.o.b. August 31, 2020.

    c.    Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation of Therese Brigham, Special Education Teacher (Middle School), effective c.o.b. October 5, 2020, with appreciation for her service to the district.

    d.    Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation of Dawn Montanye-Haley, Aide (Middle School), effective c.o.b. August 31, 2020, with appreciation for her service to the district.

    e.    Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation of Christina Klejsmyt, Aide (Glen-Worden Elementary School), effective c.o.b. August 31, 2020, in order for her to take a probationary position as a Teaching Assistant at Sacandaga Elementary School.

    f.     Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation of Mary Crandall, Aide (Glendaal Elementary School), effective c.o.b. August 31, 2020, in order for her to take a part-time position as a Teaching Assistant at Glendaal Elementary School.

    g.    Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation of Diane Greene, Monitor (Middle School), effective c.o.b. August 31, 2020, with appreciation for her service to the district.

    h.    Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education accept the verbal resignation of Kimberly Proulx, Monitor (Glendaal Elementary School), effective c.o.b. August 31, 2020, with appreciation for her service to the district.

    i.     Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education accept the verbal resignation of Christine Schmidt, Monitor (Glen-Worden Elementary School), effective c.o.b. August 31, 2020, with appreciation for her service to the district.

    j.     Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education accept the verbal resignation of Kristin Rider, Monitor (Glen-Worden Elementary School), effective c.o.b. August 31, 2020, with appreciation for her service to the district.

    k.     Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education accept the verbal resignation of Theresa Potter, Monitor (Sacandaga Elementary School), effective c.o.b. August 31, 2020, with appreciation for her service to the district.

    l.  Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation of Helen Rood, Transportation Aide (Transportation), effective c.o.b. August 31, 2020, with appreciation for her service to the district.

    m.    Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education approve the request for an unpaid leave of absence of Glenn Goldberg, Teaching Assistant (High School), effective September 1, 2020 through January 4, 2021, as submitted.

    13.  Report of Superintendent

    a.    Staffing

    1)      Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the correction of the date of the appointment of Matthew Morgan from effective September 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021 to effective August 24, 2020 through June 30, 2021.

    2)      Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve one (1) additional summer day during the month of August, 2020 for Mackenzie Wetzel, Guidance Counselor, at 1/200th of her 2019-2020 salary.

    3)      Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the change in assignment of Janet Duane from Teaching Assistant at Lincoln Elementary School to Teaching Assistant at Glendaal Elementary School, effective September 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, with no change in salary for 2020-2021.

    4)      Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the change in assignment of Dawn Farone from Teaching Assistant at Lincoln Elementary School to Teaching Assistant at Glen-Worden Elementary School, effective September 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, with no change in salary for 2020-2021.

    5)      Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education approve the part-time appointment of Michael Revette as Lunch Monitor (Glen-Worden Elementary School), effective September 14, 2020 through June 30, 2021, with 2020-2021 salary to be at the rate of $11.80/hour, 2.75 hours/day, 11 hours per week (M-Tu; Th-F).

    6)      Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education approve the part-time appointment of Gulnora Perera as Teacher Aide (Glen-Worden Elementary School), effective September 8, 2020 through June 30, 2021, with 2020-2021 salary to be at the rate of $11.80/hour, 6.25 hours/day, 31.75 hours per week.

    7)      Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the part-time appointment of James Izzo as School Monitor (Glendaal Elementary School), effective September 14, 2020 through June 30, 2021, with 2020-2021 salary to be at the rate of $11.80/hour, 2 hours/day, 10 hours per week.

    8)      Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the part-time appointment of William-Robert Bull as School Monitor (Sacandaga Elementary School), effective September 14, 2020 through June 30, 2021, with 2020-2021 salary to be at the rate of $11.80/hour, 3 hours/day, 15 hours per week.

    9)      Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the part-time appointment of Elana Evenden as Teacher Aide (Lincoln Elementary School), effective September 8, 2020 through June 30, 2021, with 2020-2021 salary to be at the rate of $11.80/hour, 6.25 hours/day, 31.75 hours per week.

    10)   Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the part-time appointment of Kimberly Beck as Teacher Aide (Glen-Worden Elementary School), effective September 8, 2020 through June 30, 2021, with 2020-2021 salary to be at the rate of $11.80/hour, 6.25 hours/day, 31.75 hours per week.

    11)   Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the part-time appointment of Stephanie LaValley as Teacher Aide (Middle School), effective September 8, 2020 through June 30, 2021, with 2020-2021 salary to be at the rate of $11.80/hour, 6.5 hours/day, 33 hours per week.

    12)   Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the probationary appointment of Christina Klejsmyt as Teaching Assistant (Sacandaga Elementary School), effective September 1, 2020 through August 31, 2024, with 2020-2021 salary to be at Step 1, $17.13/hour, 7 hours/day. Ms. Klejsmyt has TA Level I certification.

    13)   Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the probationary appointment of Mackenzie LaCross-Bressette as Teaching Assistant (Middle School), effective September 1, 2020 through August 31, 2024, with 2020-2021 salary to be at Step 1, $17.13/hour, 7 hours/day. Ms. Lacross-Bressette has TA Level I certification.

    14)   Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the part-time appointment of Joy Jones as Teaching Assistant (Sacandaga Elementary School), effective September 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021, with 2020-2021 salary to be at Step 1, $17.13/hour, 5.7 hours/day. Ms. Jones has TA Level I certification.

    15)   Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the part-time appointment of Mary Crandall as Teaching Assistant (Glendaal Elementary School), effective September 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021, with 2020-2021 salary to be at Step 1, $17.13/hour, 5.5 hours/day. Ms. Crandall has TA Level I certification.

    16)   Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the part-time appointment of Benjamin Tunison as Teaching Assistant (High School), effective September 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021, with 2020-2021 salary to be at Step 1, $17.13/hour, 5.5 hours/day. Mr. Tunison has TA Level I certification in process.

    17)  Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the list of substitute teachers and teaching assistants for the 2020-2021 school year, as submitted.

    A list of substitute monitors (cafeteria, door, hall, and recess), school bus drivers, transportation aides, and bus cleaners will be emailed to you on Monday, September 14.

    18)  Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the attached    list, dated August 24, 2020, of additional employees for summer curriculum work at the rate of $125/day for Teachers and $91.84 for Teaching Assistants for each full day of service this summer, as submitted.

    19)   Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education approve the following supplemental appointments for the 2020-2021 school year:

    20)      Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education approve the probationary appointment of Malgorzata (Margot) Kelly as LOTE (French) Teacher (High School), effective September 1, 2020 through August 31, 2024, with 2020-2021 salary to be at Step 10+M, $58,713. Ms. Kelly has professional certification.

    21)      Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education approve the appointment of Jessica Jensen as Music Teacher (Glendaal Elementary and Lincoln Elementary Schools), effective September 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021, with 2020-2021 salary to be at Step 4+M, $48,361. Ms. Jensen has permanent certification.

    22)      Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education approve the appointment of Christopher Dobson as Music Teacher (High School), effective September 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021, with 2020-2021 salary to be at Step 3+M, $47,542. Mr. Dobson has initial certification.

    23)      Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education approve the appointment of Katelyn DeLong as School Monitor (Lincoln Elementary School), effective September 14, 2020 through June 30, 2021, with 2020-2021 salary to be at the rate of $11.80/hour, 6.25 hours/day, 31.75 hours per week.

    24)      Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the change in assignment of Aurora Carignan from Teacher Aide at Lincoln Elementary School to Teacher Aide at Sacandaga Elementary School, effective September 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, with no change in salary for 2020-2021.
