5.   Accept Auditor’s Report for 2019-2020 Financial Report, Single Audit Supplementary Financial Report, and the Extra Classroom Activity Fund Financial Report submitted by West and Company, CPAs

Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the 2019-2020 Financial Report, Single Audit Supplementary Financial Report, and the Extra Classroom Activity Fund Financial Report, as submitted by West and Company, CPAs, and reviewed by Amy Pedrick.

6.    Update on Current Building Project and Prospective Building Project – Jack Tateo (Senior Construction Project Manager at BACS) and Matt Schools (SEI Design Group)

7.    Discuss NYSSBA Resolutions/Select Voting Delegate and Alternate for the 2020 NYSSBA Annual Business Meeting of the New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA) – Virtual Convention, October 20 – 31, 2020. 

8.    Resolution:  Increase Debt Services Reserve Fund

Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education adopt the Resolution, dated October 5, 2020, regarding authorizing the decrease in the undesignated fund balance by $91,826 and increasing the Debt Services Reserve Fund by $91,826, as submitted.

9.  Approve Draft of Data Privacy and Security Policy for a First Reading

Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education adopt the draft of the Data Privacy and Security Policy for a first reading, as submitted.

10. Approve Memorandum of Agreement By and Between Scotia-Glenville Central School District and Scotia-Glenville Teachers’ Association

Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the Memorandum of Agreement By and Between Scotia-Glenville Central School District and Scotia-Glenville Teachers’ Association regarding the temporary assignments of James Saburro and David McLear at Sacandaga Elementary School for the 2020-2021 school year with no change in salary, as submitted.

  1. Approve Memorandum of Agreement By and Between Scotia-Glenville Central School District and Scotia-Glenville Teachers’ Association

Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the Memorandum of Agreement By and Between Scotia-Glenville Central School District and Scotia-Glenville Teachers’ Association regarding the assignments of the individuals named therein to serve as Technology Specialists for their respective buildings for the 2020-2021 school year, as submitted.

12. Communications

a.    Superintendent’s Recommendation:  That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation of Elaine McCarthy, Aide (Middle School), effective c.o.b. October 2, 2020, with appreciation for her service to the district.

b.    Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation for retirement purposes of Stephani Dimopoulos, Art Teacher (High School), effective c.o.b. December 4, 2020, with appreciation for her service to the district.

c. Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation for retirement purposes of Christine Senn, Teaching Assistant (Middle School), effective c.o.b. December 10, 2020, with appreciation for her service to the district.

13.  Report of Superintendent

a.    Staffing

1)      Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the change of hours of Linda Trier, Monitor (Glen-Worden Elementary School) from 3.5 hours per day to 4.33 hours per day with no change in hourly salary.

2)      Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the change of hours of William-Robert Bull, Monitor (Sacandaga Elementary School) from 15 hours per week to 14 hours per week with no change in hourly salary.

3)      Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the change of hours of Denise Rudolph, Monitor (Sacandaga Elementary School) from 10 hours per week to 11 hours per week with no change in hourly salary.

4)      Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the appointment of Lisa Capullo as Monitor at Glen-Worden Elementary School, in accordance with Civil Service Rules and Regulations, effective October 5, 2020 to June 30, 2021, with 2020-2021 salary to be at the rate of $11.80/hour, 3 hours/day, 15 hours per week. *This appointment is conditioned on the school district’s receipt of clearance for the employee from the State Education Department following a criminal history records check in accordance with the provision of Education Law §3035.

5)      Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the appointment of Amy Lawyer as Monitor (Middle School), in accordance with Civil Service Rules and Regulations, effective October 5, 2020 to June 30, 2021, with 2020-2021 salary to be at the rate of $11.80/hour, 8 hours/day, 40 hours per week.

6)      Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the appointment of Mary Finamore as Hall Monitor (High School), in accordance with Civil Service Rules and Regulations, effective September 29, 2020 to June 30, 2021, with 2020-2021 salary to be at the rate of $11.80/hour, 7 hours/day, 35 hours per week.

7)    That the Board of Education approve the appointment of Wahiba Elassali as Teacher Aide (Middle School), in accordance with Civil Service Rules and Regulations, effective October 6, 2020 to June 30, 2021, with 2020-2021 salary to be at the rate of $11.80/hour, 6.5 hours/day, 33 hours per week.

8) Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the list of substitute teachers, returning substitute teachers, new substitute teachers (BOCES), returning substitute teaching assistants, new substitute teacher aides, and new substitute bus aides for the 2020-2021 school year.

9)      Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the following supplemental appointments for the 2020-2021 school year:
