5. Accept Auditor’s Report for 2020-2021 Financial Report, Single Audit Supplementary Financial Report, and the Extra Classroom Activity Fund Financial Report submitted by West and Company, CPAs

Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the 2020-2021 Financial Report, Single Audit Supplementary Financial Report, and the Extra Classroom Activity Fund Financial Report, as submitted by West and Company, CPAs, and reviewed by Amy Pedrick, as well as the attached corrective actions, as submitted.

6. Communications

a. Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation of Lisa Omicinski, Library Clerk (Middle School), effective c.o.b. September 30, 2021. Ms. Omicinski will remain in her position as Attendance Secretary at Glen-Worden Elementary, with appreciation to her service.

b. Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation of Gulnora Perera, Teaching Aide (Glen-Worden Elementary), effective c.o.b. October 1, 2021, with appreciation to her service.

c. Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation of Brittany Vogel, Lunch Monitor (Lincoln Elementary), effective c.o.b. October 8, 2021, with appreciation to her service.

d. Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation for retirement purposes of Jeff Kimble, Teaching Assistant (Senior High School), effective c.o.b. October 29, 2021, with appreciation to his service.

e. Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation of Denise Harrigan, Guidance Counselor (Senior High School), effective c.o.b. October 29, 2021, with appreciation to her service.

7. Report of Superintendent
a. Staffing

1) Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the additional five (5) days for Jamian Rockhill, Director of Physical Education and Athletics, at 1/240th of his 2020-2021 annual salary.

2) Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the probationary appointment of Kristina Shaw as Teaching Assistant (Middle School) effective October 4, 2021 through October 5, 2025, with the 2021-2022 salary to be at the rate of $17.63/hour (Step 1), 7 hours/day. Ms. Shaw holds a Professional certification in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6).

3) Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the probationary appointment of Geetanjalie Sooklall as Teaching Assistant (High School) effective October 5, 2021 through October 6, 2025, with the 2021-2022 salary to be at the rate of $17.63/hour (Step 1), 7 hours/day. Ms. Sooklall has Teaching Assistant Level II certification.

4) Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the correction of the probationary appointment of Lindsay Danielson as School Psychologist (Sacandaga Elementary School), effective September 27, 2021 through September 26, 2024, with the 2021-2022 salary to be prorated at the annual rate of $65,974 (Step 13 +M + $3,000 Psychologist stipend listed on 9/13/21 agenda).

5) Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve Austin Zullo as a Senior High Athletic Contest Chaperone for 2021-2022, at the rate of $17.38/hour.

6) Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the following supplemental appointments for the 2021-2022 school year:

Middle School Jazz Band Stipend

  • Chad Ploss $17.38/hourElementary Strings Stipend
  • Rachel Ciotoli $17.38/hour
  • Cheryl Ferraro $17.38/hour
  • Amy Norris $17.38/hour

Elementary Band Stipend

  • Rachel Ciotoli $17.38/hour

7) Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the appointment of Lindsay Danielson as DASA (Dignity for All Students Act) Coordinator for Sacandaga Elementary School for the 2021-2022 school year with no additional remuneration.

8) Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the list of additional substitute teachers, substitute teaching assistants, substitute teaching aides, substitute school bus drivers, and tutors for 2021-2022, as submitted.
