5. Resolution: Legal Notice of Annual District Election – June 9, 2020

Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the Legal Notice of the Annual District Election, to be held on June 9, 2020, as submitted.

6. Appoint Chairperson of the Scotia-Glenville Central School District Annual District Election

Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education appoint a Chairperson
(Board member) of the Annual District Election on June 9, 2020.

7. Appoint Chief Inspector of the Scotia-Glenville Central School District Annual District Election

Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education appoint Bruce Rowledge as Chief Inspector of the annual District Election on June 9, 2020.

8. Appoint Additional Assistant Clerks and Inspectors for the Annual District Election

Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education appoint the following individuals as Inspectors for the Annual District Election on June 9, 2020:

9. Resolution: Accept Gift and Donation from Scotia-Glenville All Sports Booster Club to be used for the Volleyball Program

Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the Resolution dated May 11, 2020, regarding accepting and appropriating the gift and donation of $4,024.46 from the Scotia-Glenville All Sports Booster Club to be used for the Volleyball Program.

10. Resolution: Accept Gift and Donation of Six Trees from the Town of Glenville in Commemoration of the Town’s Bicentennial

Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the Resolution dated May 11, 2020, regarding accepting the gift and donation from the Town of Glenville of six crabapple trees, valued at $300.00, to commemorate the Town’s Bicentennial celebration; one tree will be planted at each school building, as submitted.

11. Resolution: Accept Gift and Donation from the American Heart Association to be used to Purchase Physical Education Equipment for Glendaal Elementary School

Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the Resolution dated May 11, 2020, regarding accepting the gift and donation of $200.00, from the American Heart Association, to be used to purchase physical education equipment for Glendaal Elementary School, as submitted.

12. Approve Memorandum of Agreement By and Between Scotia-Glenville Central School District and Scotia-Glenville Secretarial Association

Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the Memorandum of Agreement By and Between Scotia-Glenville Central School District and Scotia-Glenville Secretarial Association, dated April 23, 2020, regarding carrying over unused vacation time from the 2019-2020 school year into the 2020-2021 school year due to the Governor’s recent Executive Order as a result of the COVID-19 crisis, as submitted.

13. Memorandum of Agreement By and Between the Scotia-Glenville Central School District and Scotia-Glenville School Employees Local 766 and Council 66 of the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO

Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the Memorandum of Agreement By and Between the Scotia-Glenville Central School District and Scotia-Glenville School Employees Local 766 and Council 66 of the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO, dated May 3, 2020, regarding carrying over unused vacation time from the 2019-2020 school year into the 2020-2021 school year due to the Governor’s recent Executive Order as a result of the COVID-19 crisis, as submitted.

1) Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the change in the appointment of Susan Holub-McCann as Substitute Elementary Teacher (Lincoln Elementary School), from the period March 24, 2020 through May 1, 2020, with 2019-2020 salary to be at the rate of $93,382 (Step 23 +M). Ms. Holub-McCann has permanent certification. (Note: The salary of $93,382 is to be pro-rated for the period March 24, 2020 through May 31, 2020.), to the period March 24, 2020 through May 15, 2020, with 2019-2020 salary to be at the rate of $93,382 (Step 23 +M). Ms. Holub-McCann has permanent certification. (Note: The salary of $93,382 is to be pro-rated for the period March 24, 2020 through May 15, 2020.)

b. Placement of Children with Disabilities

1) Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education award the bid for Occasional Electrical Repair for the 2020-2021 school year to J. McBain, Inc. in accordance with bid specifications and their low bid, as submitted.

2) Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education award the bid for Boiler Repair for the 2020-2021 school year to Colonie Mechanical Contractors in accordance with bid specifications and their low bid, as submitted.

3) Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education award the 2020-2021 bid for Miscellaneous Transportation Supplies on an item by item basis in accordance with bid specifications and the lowest qualified bidder, as submitted.

4) Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education award the 2020-2021 bid for Bus Tires on an item by item basis in accordance with bid specifications and the lowest qualified bidder, as submitted.
