Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education submit the following proposition at the Annual District Election on May 18, 2021:
RESOLVED, That the Board of Education of the Scotia-Glenville School District be authorized to expend the sums set forth in the total amount of $59,127,425 during the 2021-2022 school year and to levy the necessary tax therefore.

A Special Meeting of the Board of Education of the Scotia-Glenville Central School was held in the Office of the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, in said district on March 29, 2021.
President Bucciferro called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Present: Bucciferro, Carbone, Feinberg, Frederick, Massaro, H. Talbot, K. Talbot, Superintendent Swartz, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Swain, Business Manager Giaquinto and District Clerk DeLong
Absent: None

There was no hearing/privilege of the floor due to the inability to allow the public to attend the meeting in person.
Superintendent’s Comments – (Susan Swartz, Superintendent of Schools)
Superintendent Swartz informed the Board that tickets are now available for the drama clubs virtual performance of Ordinary Days. She also reported that the Fall 2 Sports season will end on April 30th, the spring sports season will start on April 25th.
Final Discussion and Adoption of 2021-2022 Budget – (Susan Swartz, Superintendent of Schools)
MOVED by Carbone, SECONDED by H. Talbot that the Board of Education submit the following proposition at the Annual District Election on May 18, 2021:
RESOLVED, That the Board of Education of the Scotia-Glenville School District be authorized to expend the sums set forth in the total amount of $59,127,425 during the 2021-2022 school year and to levy the necessary tax therefore.
The Board discussed options for what the District could do if more state aid was to become available after the budget has been adopted. All were in agreement that they would like to use any additional state aid for lowering the tax levy, but would like to also keep open the possibility of adding some of the aid to the general fund if allowable.
