For Virtual and In-Person Students K-4:
The process for determining class placements will be a little bit different this year. As we are still waiting on updated guidance from New York State and are working to finalize our plans for what school will look like next year, we will finalize class lists over the summer. We will mail out letters by August 13th for each student indicating who their teacher in grade 1-5 will be. We always send a separate mailing for incoming Kindergarten students. There are many important factors taken into account when creating balanced classes to meet the needs of everyone involved. We cannot accept parental requests for a specific teacher or personal preferences for student placements. However, we are receptive to any specific and pertinent information you can share about your child. If you would like to share concerns or information about your child, all such information must be submitted in writing on this Input Form by June 18th: https://forms.gle/2y6Sv35Ayng9724u7
For All In-Person Students:
Our scheduled field days for in-person students are as follows:
- June 10th (2nd grade 10:00-11:45am)/(3rd grade 12:30-2:30pm), rain date June 11th.
- June 17th (1st grade 10:00-11:15am)/(Kdg 12:50-2:10pm), rain date June 21st
- June 18th (5th grade 9:45-11:45am)/(4th grade 12:30-2:30pm), rain date June 22nd.
We had previously communicated that we would not be able to have spectators, but are happy to let you know that our guidelines have shifted to match the protocols used in the district for spring sports. Each student can have 2 people attend to watch field day. The 2 people attending must be masked and will need to sign-in and provide their name, address and phone number (in case we need to contact you after the event). Spectators will not be allowed in the school building, but will sign in at the entrance to the high school turf field (by the Sac playground). We are asking all spectators to watch from the bleachers.
