Glen-Worden families raised nearly $1,600 for Ronald McDonald House

Glen-Worden families and staff raised nearly $1,600 during a reading challenge to benefit the Ronald McDonald House in Albany.
Students collected pledges from family and friends to challenge them read more as part of the challenge.

Southpaw, the mascot of the Valley Cats, also visited grade 1 and 2 classrooms to read with students last month to promote the effort and get students excited about reading.

Reading Specialists Kate Cartier and Debra Passino spearheaded the initiative.
