Dear Parents/Guardians:

 

I am writing you this letter to inform you of an incident that occurred at the middle school this morning. Students reported information to an adult about a threatening message in a bathroom. We immediately went into a Level 1 alert and lockdown. We immediately began a search of the building to make sure that an evacuation pathway was safe, in the event we would need to use it. Nothing was found to indicate the threat was real or that we were in imminent danger.

 

We will conduct a complete investigation to determine who might be involved in writing the threatening message. We have encouraged students to come forward if they know who may have written the remark.
