  SCHOOL MONITOR POSITIONS

The following vacancies will exist for school monitors beginning in September 2014 as indicated below:

 

CIVIL SERVICE TITLE: School Monitor (non-competitive class)

   Lunch Monitors (2 positions) – Glendaal School, 11:20 a.m. – 1:20 p.m.

   Recess Monitors – (3 positions) - Glendaal School, 11:20 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

   Recess Monitor – Glen-Worden School, 11:05 – 1:05

   Lunch Monitor – Middle School, 10:30 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.

   Hall Monitor – Middle School, 7:00 am. – 2:30 p.m. (1/2 hour lunch)

 

HOURLY RATE: $9.00/hour

FRINGE BENEFITS: Retirement, Health Insurance, Dental Insurance in accordance to contract.

ANTICIPATED SPECIAL EDUCATION OPENINGS - 2014-15 SCHOOL YEAR

   ▪ Special education teacher for elementary class of students with spectrum disorders. Direct instructional    experience with students with spectrum disorders required. Experience with inclusive education preferred.

   ▪  Teacher aide (2) to work in an elementary class of students with spectrum disorders. Experience with students with spectrum disorders preferred.

   ▪ 0.5 FTE Speech/Language Therapist to co-teach and provide language services for elementary students with spectrum disorders. Direct experience with students with spectrum disorders required. Experience with inclusive education preferred.

   ▪  Middle school special education teacher. Dual certification in special education and science or math (7-12) highly desirable. Experience with a co-teaching/inclusion model preferred.

   ▪  0.5 FTE social worker for Middle School grades 6-8.
