SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That the Board of Education adopt the Resolution, dated March 24, 2008, regarding the school bus purchase proposition in the amount of $435,000 to be submitted to the voters at the annual school election.

 

8.    Resolution: Legal Notice of Annual District Election and Budget Vote of Propositions

 

       SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the Legal Notice of Annual District Election and Budget Vote of Propositions, as submitted.

 

9.    Adopt the Textbook: United States History (Holt, Rinehart and Winston)

 

SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That the Board of Education adopt the following textbook for use in the seventh grade Social Studies classes at the Middle School:

             

       United States History (Holt, Rinehart and Winston)

 

10.  Routine Business

 

a.    Staffing

 

1)   Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the

       following additional substitutes for the 2007-2008 school year:

 

          Substitute Teacher

          Brian Slezak

 

          Substitute Teaching Assistant

                      *This appointment is conditioned on the school districtÕs receipt of clearance for the employee from the State Education Department following a criminal history records check in accordance with the provision of Education Law ¤3035.

 

2)   SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the following rates for the Teen Town supplemental appointments for the 2007-2008 school year:

 

                      Teen Town

                      Director                      $185/session

                      Co-Director               $100/session

                      Chaperones (2)       $37.50 each/session

 

3)    SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the following additional spring coaching appointment for 2007-2008:

 

Modified Boys Lacrosse

c.    Placement of Children with Disabilities

 

d.    Bid

 

SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That the Board of Education award the bid for the replacement of two water heaters at the Senior High School to StantÕs Combustion, as per the attached Bid Summary.
