In accordance with Policy #1230, privilege of the
floor will be extended at this time to any person in attendance. The time allowed, protocol and

4. Ratification
of Memorandum of Agreement with Scotia-Glenville Teachers' Association
Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education ratify the
Memorandum of Agreement, dated September 14, 2004, with the Scotia-Glenville
Teachers' Association for the period July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2007, as
submitted, and, further, authorize the Superintendent of Schools to issue a
joint press release and sign the contract.
5. Resolution: To Correct A 2003 Tax Bill
Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education adopt the
Resolution, dated September 27, 2004, to correct a 2003 Tax Bill, as submitted.
6. Resolution: Withdraw and Amend School Tax Rolls
Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education adopt the
Resolution dated September 27, 2004, to withdraw and amend the 2004-2005 School
Tax Rolls, as submitted.
7. Middle School "School's
Out" Program
Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
Agreement Among the Towns of Glenville and Ballston, The Village of Scotia, The
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake and Scotia-Glenville School Districts and The Capital
District YMCA Relative to the Implementation of the Middle School
"School's Out" Program, and authorize the Superintendent to sign said
Agreement, as submitted.

Adopt 2004-2005 District Goals
Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education adopt the
2004-2005 District Goals, as submitted.
10. Resolution: Ice Hockey Merger
Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
Resolution, dated September 27, 2004, authorizing the merger agreement with
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake School District for an interscholastic ice hockey
team, as submitted.
11. Request for Overnight Field Trip Š
Glen-Worden 5th Graders to Camp Chingachgook
Superintendent's
Recommendation: That the Board
of Education approve the request for the overnight trip of the Glen-Worden 5th
graders and chaperones to Camp Chingachgook, Lake George, NY, from September 30
Š October 1, 2004.
12. Nonresident Student Tuition
Enrollment: Keysha Marie Scagnelli
Superintendent's
Recommendation: That the Board
of Education approve the non-resident student tuition enrollment of Keysha
Marie Scagnelli, Grade 12 student, for the 2004-2005 school year.
13. Nonresident Student Tuition
Enrollment: Christopher Armstrong
Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
non-resident student tuition enrollment of Christopher E. Armstrong, Grade 8
student, for the 2004-2005 school year.
14. Communications
a. Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the
letter of resignation of Andreina Giovannone, School Monitor (Lincoln School),
effective c.o.b. October 1, 2004, with appreciation for her service to the
district.
b. Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the
letter of resignation of Maureen McCumber, Teacher Aide (Transportation),
effective c.o.b. September 24, 2004, with appreciation for her service to the
district.
c. Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the
letter of resignation of JoAnn Smith, School Monitor (Sacandaga Elementary
School), effective c.o.b. September 17, 2004, with appreciation for her service
to the district.
d. Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the
letter of resignation of Kathy Muscato, District Clerk, effective c.o.b.
September 24, 2004.
15. Routine Business
a. Tenure Recommendation
1) Superintendent's Recommendation: That Wanda
Colyer, permanently certified as a Remedial Reading Teacher (Senior High School
Alternate High School Equivalency Program - GED Prep), be granted tenure as a
Remedial Reading Teacher, effective February 1, 2005.
2) Superintendent's Recommendation: That Jessica (Dashnaw) Crisci, provisionally certified as a
Music Teacher (Senior High School and Middle School), be granted tenure as a
Music Teacher, effective February 1, 2005.
b. Staffing
1) Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
regular substitute appointment of Claudia White as Mathematics Teacher (Senior
High School), effective October 28, 2004 through June 30, 2005, with 2004-2005
salary to be at the annual rate of $39,965 [Step 5 +M +23(1/3)]. Ms. White has permanent certification. This appointment is conditioned on the
school districtÕs receipt of clearance for the employee from the State
Education Department following a criminal history records check in accordance
with the provision of Education Law ¤3035.
2) Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
appointment of Holly Britton as School Nurse Per Diem Substitute
(Districtwide), effective September 28, 2004 through June 30, 2005, with
2004-2005 salary to be at the hourly rate of $17.85.
3) Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
temporary appointment of Kathleen Smith as Information Processing Specialist
(Pupil Personnel Services), in accordance with Civil Service regulations,
effective September 28, 2004 through on/about March 24, 2005, with 2004-2005
salary to be at the annual rate of $22,360. This appointment is conditioned on the school districtÕs
receipt of clearance for the employee from the State Education Department
following a criminal history records check in accordance with the provision of
Education Law ¤3035.
4) Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
part-time appointment of JoAnn Smith as Teacher Aide (Sacandaga Elementary
School), effective September 28, 2004 through June 30, 2005, with 2004-2005
salary to be at the rate of $8.66/hour, 33 hours/week.
5) Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
part-time appointment of Barbara Santelli as School Monitor (Sacandaga
Elementary
School), effective September 28, 2004 through June
30, 2005, with 2004-2005 salary to be at the rate of $7.89/hour, 2.25
hours/day. This appointment is conditioned on the school districtÕs receipt of
clearance for the employee from the
State Education Department following a criminal
history records check in accordance with the provision of Education Law ¤3035.
6) Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
part-time appointment of Suzanne Johnson as Teacher Aide (Transportation
Department), effective September 28, 2004 through June 30, 2005, with 2004-2005
salary to be at the rate of $8.82/hour, 3.5
hours/day. This appointment is
conditioned on the school districtÕs receipt of clearance for the employee from
the
State Education Department following a criminal
history records check in accordance with the provision of Education Law ¤3035.
7) Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the part-time
appointment of Thomas Bergeron as School Monitor (Senior High School),
effective September 28, 2004 through June 30, 2005, with 2004-2005 salary to be
at the rate of $7.89/hour, 3 hours/day.
This appointment is conditioned on the school districtÕs receipt of
clearance for the employee from the State Education Department following a
criminal history records check in accordance with the provision of Education Law
¤3035.
8) Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
probationary appointment of Allen Diederich as Cleaner (Middle School),
effective September 28, 2004, in accordance with Civil Service regulations,
with 2004-2005 salary to be at the annual rate of $20,363.20. This appointment is conditioned on the
school districtÕs receipt of clearance for the employee from the State Education
Department following a criminal history records check in accordance with the
provision of Education Law ¤3035.
9) Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the probationary
appointment of Salvador Oliver as Cleaner (Glendaal/Glen-Worden Elementary
Schools), effective September 28, 2004, in accordance with Civil
Service regulations, with 2004-2005 salary to be at
the annual rate of $20,363.20.
This appointment is conditioned on the school districtÕs receipt of
clearance for the employee from the State Education Department following a
criminal history records check in accordance with the provision of Education Law
¤3035.
10) Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
