5. Request
for Overnight Field Trip Ð GIVE Students to Atlantic Region Service-Learning
Conference
Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
request for the overnight trip of GIVE students and chaperone to the Atlantic
Region Service-Learning Conference, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from October
28 - 29, 2004, at no expense to the district.
6. Request
for Overnight Field Trip Ð National Honor Society Students to "Grad
Nite" at Disney World, Orlando, Florida
Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
request for the overnight trip of National Honor Society students and
chaperones to the "Grad Nite" at Disney World, Orlando, Florida, from
April 28, 2005 Ð May 1, 2005, at no expense to the district.
7. Request for Overnight Field Trip Ð Middle School Science Club
to Boston and Cape Cod, Massachusetts
Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
request for the overnight trip of the Middle School Science Club to Boston and
Cape Code, Massachusetts, in April 2005, at no expense to the district.
8. Resolution: J. William Sawyer Memorial Chemistry
Scholarship
Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
Resolution regarding acceptance of the J. William Sawyer Memorial Chemistry
Scholarship, dated October 25, 2004, as submitted.
9. Resolution: Gladys Gaetz Sawyer Memorial Social
Studies Scholarship
Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
Resolution regarding acceptance of the Gladys Gaetz Sawyer Memorial Social
Studies Scholarship, dated October 25, 2004, as submitted.

a. Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation
of Jamie White, School Nurse (Glendaal Elementary School), effective c.o.b.
November 19, 2004, with appreciation for her service to the district.
b. Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the
letter of resignation of Irving Mercardo, Cleaner (Senior High School),
effective c.o.b. October 29, 2004, with appreciation for his service to the
district.

of Education accept the letter of resignation of Kathy Dwyer, Teacher Aide
(Glendaal Elementary School), effective c.o.b. November 4, 2004, with
appreciation for her service to the district.

1) Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
full-time appointment of Kim Mastroianni as Registered Professional
Nurse-School (Lincoln Elementary School), subject to Civil Service regulations,
effective November 2, 2004, with 2004-2005 salary at the annual rate of
$26,000. This appointment is
conditioned on the school districtÕs receipt of clearance for the employee from
the State Education Department following a criminal history records check in
accordance with the provision of Education Law ¤3035.
