Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education adopt the
following Novel series textbooks
for use in the Foreign Language courses at the Senior High School:
Novels
series by Blaine Ray

a. Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation of Andrea Erwetowski,
Teaching Assistant (Glendaal Elementary School), effective July 16, 2004, with
appreciation for her service to the district.

a. Staffing
1) Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
probationary appointment of Kristin M. Huntsman as Guidance Counselor (Middle
School), effective September 1, 2004 through August 31, 2007, with 2004-2005
salary to be at the annual rate of $39,300 (Step 2 +M +18) and further approve her supplemental appointment as Guidance
Counselor, with 2004-2005 stipend at $2600. Ms. Huntsman has provisional
certification. This appointment is
conditioned on the school districtÕs receipt of clearance for the employee from
the State Education Department following a criminal history records check in
accordance with the provision of Education Law ¤3035.
2) Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
probationary appointment of Cynthia Markham as Remedial Speech Teacher (Middle
School), effective September 1, 2004 through August 31, 2007, with 2004-2005
salary to be at the annual rate of $37,396 (Step 3 +M +24). Ms. Markham has
provisional certification. This appointment is conditioned on the school
districtÕs receipt of clearance for the employee from the State Education
Department following a criminal history records check in accordance with the
provision of Education Law ¤3035.
3) Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
part-time appointment of Joan Suda as Teacher of Children with Handicapping
Conditions (General Special Education Tenure Area) (Glen-Worden and Sacandaga
Elementary Schools), effective September 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005, with
2004-2005 salary to be at the rate of $25,260.20 (Step 1 + M + 18, 70%
basis). Ms. Suda has provisional
certification.
4) Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
regular substitute appointment of Kimberly A. Durant as English Teacher (Senior
High School), effective September 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005, with 2004-2005
salary to be at the annual rate of $36,221 (Step 1 +M +23[1/3]). Ms. Durant has provisional
certification. This appointment is
conditioned on the school districtÕs receipt of clearance for the employee from
the State Education Department following a criminal history records check in
accordance with the provision of Education Law ¤3035.
5) Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
part-time appointment of Michele M. DeVivo as Art Teacher (Glendaal Elementary
School), effective September 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005, with 2004-2005
salary to be at the annual rate of $18,188 (Step 2 +M +6, 50% basis). Ms. DeVivo has permanent
certification. This appointment is
conditioned on the school districtÕs receipt of clearance for the employee from
the State Education Department following a criminal history records check in
accordance with the provision of Education Law ¤3035.
6) Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
probationary appointment of Maura DiPace as Teaching Assistant (Middle School),
effective September 1, 2004 through August 31, 2007, with 2004-2005 salary to
be
at
the annual rate of $16,448.25 (Step 1, 7 hours/day). Ms. DiPace's Teaching Assistant certification is in
progress.
7) Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the
appointment of Pamela Stafford as Teacher Aide (Middle School), effective
September 1, 2004 through August 31, 2005, with 2004-2005 salary to be at the
rate of $8.20/hour (35 hours/week).
