á Karen Normington said that the Spring Fling will be May 7th. She has been talking to Mrs. Wurz and Ms. Gracz about having the cup stacking competition again. It would be great to have a cakewalk again, but we need at least 30 baked goods to make it work. If we do not get that many Karen said that we will have some kind of raffle for those items that we do receive. Karen said that there will be funfair games this year instead of the climbing wall. There will be board games in the library like last year. Michele reminded us that we cannot do anything with balloons because it is against school policy. As far as food goes all in attendance agreed that there will be pizza, popcorn and juice boxes for refreshments. All agreed that we need to make sure that all food is kept in the cafeteria.
á Maureen mentioned that June 7th is the teacher staff appreciation luncheon. In order to prevent so much excess food this year, she suggested that maybe the homeroom parents could keep track of their classrooms specific dish donations.
She mentioned a possible international or garden theme for this event. Cathie Sweeney, Brenda Rice and Maureen will meet at a later date to make more plans.
Respectfully submitted,
Beth Fritzeen
PTA Secretary
