Call To Order

Meeting was called to order at 7:08 pm

 

Meeting Minutes Approved from October Meeting

 

Presidents Report Ð Michele Calderon and  Karen Normington

 

-       Picture retake day went smoothly

-        

-       We need to put together a committee for the FounderÕs Day dinner and work on nominations

-        

-       Healthy Heart DayÑPTA usually provides lunch for the volunteersÑFunding for this in the past was out of pocket, but Chris McKenna said money could come from Hospitality or Misc Programs

-        

-       Craft Night will not be a program that can be held this year due to conflicts with the facility on nights the volunteers are available..

-        

-       Reminder Ð If soliciting donations from Wal-Mart, do so at the beginning of the month.

-        

-        

 

 

 

TreasurerÕs Report- Christine McKenna

 

-       Budget was updated and signed

-       Tax return has been completed

-       We had some bounced checks from the fall fund raiserÑthe policy will be that these people will be put on a list and only cash will be accepted as payment if they would like to continue to support us.

-       December 1-10 Carolyn will be filling in for Chris McKenna

 

 

 

 

PrincipleÕs Report- John Tobiassen

 

-       No report

 

 

 

Teachers Report   Colleen Carnevale

 

-       Our own Mrs Rosenberry was chosen for Channel 13 Educator of the Week

-       The recycling program is a big success

-       Celebrity readers for Dinner with Santa are coming together, still no readers from 7-7:20pm

 

 

Standing Committees

 

Ways and Means

-       There was a fund raiser pick up snafu that was resolved by multiple days of pick up.  Paper with original date and time didnÕt get out in time, so some people were unaware of their items being available

-       We need to come up with fund raiser ideas to make money for the Sturdy Fund

-       Idea of Spring Fling was brought up, Rachel agreed to check into school availability and cost of custodial staff

 

 

 

 

Programs  Patty Paone

 

-       November-- Food Play Productions is coming for Healthy Heart Day

-       Fabulous FridaysÑ3 Fridays in January and FebruaryÑLinda P will need help with organization and implemetationÑsoliciting for people to run classes and people to help in classes

-       December 10ÑHigh Energy Juggling Show is coming and we are splitting the cost with Glen Worden

 

Council Report

 

-       Council dues are due

-       Council is giving each of the 10 Odyssey of the Mind teams $150 each to fund their activity

We currently have 146 members
