á Linda showed all attendees the T-shirt logo for the 5th graders. There are no firm prices yet. She will have a sample made up first and then the order will be placed.
á We will go with the dragon logo for the school shirts. Do we want the logo to be large or small? Do we want a button down shirt for the adults? Linda will have a sample made up and Mrs. Peterson will have the teachers and staff vote on it. There are no firm prices yet. Once we have decided on styles and logos, prices will be given and orders will be taken.
á Doug and Greg are the circus directors this year. The program will be in the old High School gym and the games and face painting will be in the High School foyer by the cafeteria.
á Linda still needs a few helpers to take pictures during the week. She would like to have digital pictures taken and then have them made into prints at CVS for the cafeteria bulletin board. She will pay first and then be reimbursed.
á April 21st will be the Bullying program in coordination with Lincoln. It is a K-5 program that will involve a variety of presentations. The program will be in the big gym from 1:45 to 2:45.

There will be a 5th grade activity day where the students from the different elementary schools will be blended together during games, activities, a picnic lunch and more. This will enable the students to get to know each other and interact with each other. The tentative date for this event is May 28th with a rain date of June 11th.
á The District is in the process of developing a facilities committee. There will be a representative from each school that will do on site evaluations of equipment and school facilities. á Membership (Cathy Conroy) The PTA position flyer will be passed out to all circus attendees on their way out. There will be a total school distribution flyer that will go home the following week. The nomination committee needs to be formed by the next meeting, which is March 16th. Evalou Bell advised us that the nominating committee needs to be made up of 5 people, 2 from the executive board and 3 from the general membership. The May meeting is our election meeting.
á Ways and Means (Karen Normington) The spring C&H fundraiser is finishing up. Karen stated that she and Lisa Dangerfield reimbursed Anna Kelly for items that she paid for but that were never delivered to her. There were various attempts made to contact the family and the issue wasnŐt resolved. She read a note of apology that Mrs. Peterson will deliver to her for us along with the check and a small gift. Karen said that she might need some help tying up the loose ends of the fundraiser.

Mike will contact Dan to get the signed charter. The asthma program has been implemented into the Scotia-Glenville schools with the donated equipment. Mrs. Peterson said that the red and green dinner went well and that the scouts are now working on getting ready for camp.
Communications None
á Joanne suggested that the PTA make a matching bottle drive donation for the teacherŐs lounge. Mrs. Peterson stated that it was a nice idea, but not an appropriate use of PTA funds.
á Karen Normington asked what PTA funds are for. We discussed that they are for family and student activities and school activities. Mike King said that using those funds for the teachers lounge may cause some upset since the funds are not directly meant for things like that.
á Cathy Conroy will have information at the next meeting about a school information sign.
á Joanne mentioned that we would like to look into getting some playground furniture for family events to make the playground more comfortable for families and to also make it wheelchair accessible.
á Mr. Tobiassen said that the 1000 book program is in effect now and working well. There will be a presentation of the program at Kindergarten orientation.
Respectfully submitted,
Beth Fritzeen
PTA Secretary
