BOE searching for community members to serve on
three interview teams for superintendent search
The Board of Education is seeking community members to serve on three interview
teams, 12 members each, to interview candidates seeking to succeed Superintendent
Michael J. Marcelle.
The interviews will likely be in late June or early July.
"This is an opportunity for our community to be involved in the selection
of our next superintendent," said Margaret Smith, president of the Board
of Education. "This decision will be very important and will impact the school
district for the next decade."
Each committee will have two members each from these groups: students, parents,
community members, teachers, non-instructional staff and administrators.
Anyone interested should contact Director of Curriculum and Instruction Joseph
Kavanaugh at 382-1218. They may also send an email to the webmaster at ScotiaGlenvilleSchools.org
Marcelle is leaving in late April to become superintendent at the South Colonie
Central School District.
