Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008 Annual Spelling Bee held at Scotia-Glenville Middle School With words ranging from stomach and kangaroo to spherical and dungarees, 14 students in grades 4-8 competed in the annual Speling Bee at the Scotia-Glenville Middle School today. The students represented the four elementary schools and middle school. Each had competed at the school level in order to represent their schools in today's bee. Representing Scotia-Glenville at the Regional Spelling Bee at 5 p.m. on Monday, March 10 at Proctor's Theater in Schenectady will be Kayla Griffin, grade 5, Glendaal and Benjamin Taubner, grade 5, Lincoln. The alternate representative is Alexis Yagielski, grade 8. "Be proud of what you've done; it takes a lot of courage to get up on this stage," Lincoln Principal Ann Comley told the students.
